Pulsed light permanent hair reduction offers a lasting solution for unwanted hair. It is convenient; unlike waxing you do not need to let the hair grow out between treatments. It is comfortable; a built in cooling system keeps the light pulses mild and the skin safe with mild post treatment symptoms if any. It is permanent; typically several treatments will be necessary to achieve permanent hair reduction.

Frequently asked questions:

Solace Medical Spa

How does pulsed light work?
Specialized hand pieces emit pulses of light into the hair follicles. The light is absorbed by pigment in the follicles and converted to heat. The heat then loosens the hair and disables the cells responsible for growing new hair.

What body areas can I get treated?
Any area except around the eyes.

Is there any special preparation prior to treatment?
We ask that the area to be treated be shaved the night before treatment. No waxing or plucking for 4 weeks prior to treatment. No tanning or sun exposure for at least 2 weeks prior to treatment.

What should I expect after treatment?
You can expect a mild sunburn like sensation or minor swelling. The treated hair will continue to appear for sometime after treatment until it is expelled from the skin.

How many treatments will I need?
At any given time some of your hair is not in a phase of active growth; therefore, you will need a series of treatments. Typically patients require 3 or more treatments to achieve permanent hair reduction.
